We are seeking a highly motivated Application Support Engineer to support the deployment, administration, automation, and optimization of enterprise web applications. This role works closely with software developers, customers, and IT teams to build and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available solutions across Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, and SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate is a technical problem solver with strong cloud application management and deployment experience who is passionate about learning and implementing the latest Microsoft technologies. 

\n What You’ll Be Doing

• Deploy and maintain .NET web applications hosted on Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Azure. 

• Work Tier 3 client support tickets, communicating status/progress updates on technical topics to non technical clients and internal stakeholders 

• Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure, and deployment issues across development, test, and production environments. 

• Participate in on-call support and operational incident response activities to maintain high system availability and security. 

• Develop, maintain, and support automation tools, scripts, and processes that streamline software builds, deployments, and code management throughout the software delivery lifecycle. 

• Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, PowerShell, and infrastructure monitoring platforms to support modern SaaS practices and continuous improvement efforts. 

• Partner with development teams to plan, coordinate, and execute application releases and production deployments. 

• Support and administer Windows Server infrastructure and Microsoft Azure cloud services. 

• Manage existing Azure environments while assisting with the onboarding and configuration of new customer subscriptions. 

• Administer and support IIS and other core application services. 

• Monitor application and infrastructure health, proactively identifying and resolving performance, availability, and reliability issues. 

• Evaluate production applications and infrastructure to improve security, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency. 

• Collaborate with SQL Server DBA’s as needed on database related application performance issues 

• Collaborate with the DevOps Team to enhance automation, monitoring, and operational processes to ensure production-quality service delivery. 

• Collaborate with developers, business stakeholders, and customers to design solutions, resolve technical issues, and support ongoing improvements. 

• Stay current with emerging Microsoft technologies, cloud services, and industry best practices to drive innovation and operational excellence. 

What Are We Looking For?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field. 

• 5+ years of experience working on a software development, DevOps, infrastructure, or IT operations team. 

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and platform administration. 

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server based web applications and source control systems such as Git. 

• Experience with software development collaboration platforms, preferably Atlassian and Azure DevOps. 

• Working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems. 

• Experience supporting core Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IIS. 

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. 

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Passion for learning new technologies and staying current with industry trends.

• Experience packaging, deploying, and supporting enterprise software applications using the .NET Framework.

• Experience with Azure App Services and other Azure Container services 

• Experience using infrastructure monitoring and logging tools such as Azure App Insights, Azure Monitor, Site24/7, Grafana, or similar platforms. 

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. 

• Understanding of cloud security best practices, vulnerability management, and risk assessment methodologies. 

• Fundamental networking knowledge including TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, switches, VPNs, and network troubleshooting. 

• Proven ability and willingness to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement scalable automation solutions.
