Job Title: Med/Surg Tele RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry required. License: Permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of submission required. Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS certifications required. Must-Have: - Required certifications must be active and in hand at the time of submission. - One reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required for submission. - Must comply with nicotine-free requirements, if applicable. Description: This role requires a registered nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical Telemetry. The position involves working three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Responsibilities include providing patient care for individuals with diverse medical diagnoses. Candidates must have the ability to adapt to various clinical situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. The nurse will work under the supervision of a nurse manager and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. An assessment of ECG rhythms and safe medication administration will be evaluated during orientation. Candidates are required to complete all competency requirements annually. Patients served in this unit may require specialized nursing interventions. A commitment to high-quality patient care and safety is critical in this role.
