Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This organization is seeking an experienced Telemetry Nurse to provide exemplary patient care in an acute care setting. The role involves managing patients with high-acuity conditions, responding to rapid changes, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications and Education: BLS (American Heart Association) Certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Qualifications: NY State Registered Nurse (RN) license required; at least 1 year of recent Telemetry (TELE) experience in an acute care environment.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include managing patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, UTI, and post-surgical cases, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1 for day shifts and 6:1 at night.
• The role requires flexibility to float to similar units, adherence to unit-specific orientation, including computer training and shadowing, and the ability to work weekend rotations, holidays, and standby/on-call shifts.
• Candidates must be comfortable with IV starts, reading telemetry strips, and utilizing telemetry monitors with basic arrhythmia knowledge.
• Documentation and charting are completed via a computerized system, and the candidate must have prior experience or ability to work independently after orientation.
