Production Machine OperatorWe are seeking an experienced production worker to join our team. The role involves machine operation and handling of industrial equipment, primarily within a chemical plant setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for starting the chemical process of manufacturing tungsten by managing tungsten powder in barrels and operating dryers.ResponsibilitiesOperate industrial machinery, including furnaces and dryers.Handle and process tungsten powder in a chemical plant environment.Perform general production duties, including assembly and labor tasks.Utilize hand tools for various production activities.Engage in physical work, including lifting up to 30 lbs and moving product.Navigate a non-climate controlled environment while managing physical tasks.Complete training programs prior to starting shift duties.Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in a very dirty and hot environment.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED.Prior experience in manufacturing or production, ideally in a chemical plant.Good work history with demonstrated reliability and performance.Ability to perform physical tasks and manual labor effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in mechanical, construction, or chemical backgrounds is preferred.Ability to work in extreme temperatures, with conditions reaching over 120°F in summer.Comfortable working in an environment with ammonia smells and black powder residueJob Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
