This role is responsible for supporting digital forensics and malware analysis activities, including analysis of digital media, investigation of security incidents, and support to remediation and response activities.ResponsibilitiesPerform digital forensics analysis in support of cybersecurity investigations and incident response activitiesConduct digital media analysis to support identification, investigation, and response to security eventsSupport malware analysis activities to assess malicious code, artifacts, and indicators associated with cyber threatsSupport investigation, containment, remediation, and closure of cybersecurity incidentsCoordinate with cyber defense and incident response teams to support seamless execution across the incident response lifecycleSupport documentation and reporting associated with forensic and malware analysis activitiesQualificationsExperience: Five (5) years of security-related experienceExtensive experience in digital media analysisExtensive experience in digital forensicsEducation: Bachelor’s Degreein cybersecurity, digital forensics, information systems, computer science, or a related field or Four (4) additional years of relevant digital forensics or cybersecurity experience Certifications:At least one of:GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE)GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM)GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)GIAC Security Operations Certified (GSOC)GIAC Continuous Monitoring (GMON)Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+)Preferred:CISSPCCSPSSCPClearance/Suitability: Secret (active); Top Secret, SCI Clearance (eligible)Additional InformationWork EnvironmentNormal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.Core hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 0600 – 1700.May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.Working at SOSiAll interested individuals will receive consideration and will not be discriminated against for any reason.SummaryType: Full-timeFunction: OtherExperience level: Mid-Senior LevelIndustry: Information Technology And Services
