The Sea View Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote role. This position will involve direct engagement with clients, where you will conduct assessments, develop tailored therapeutic intervention strategies, and offer ongoing support. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of clients’ mental health status through interviews and clinical questionnaires.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients’ needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices that resonate with various cultural backgrounds.

• Monitor clients’ progress throughout their therapeutic journey, adjusting interventions as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Provide referrals to additional healthcare providers when needed, ensuring comprehensive care through collaboration.

• Maintain meticulous records in our EHR system, ensuring compliance with regulations while safeguarding client confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work with a wide range of clients, including adults struggling with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and co-occurring conditions. This role demands sensitivity and adaptability to clients’ unique situations, fostering trust and rapport that is crucial to the therapeutic relationship. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A valid and active license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LCSW, LPC) in New Jersey.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
\n
• Demonstrated experience with a variety of mental health conditions and an understanding of various evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in building effective therapeutic alliances with patients from different backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits\n
