Position Title: Pre-Litigation Attorney

Turn strong cases into meaningful results. A growing plaintiff-side personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation Attorney to join its collaborative, high-performing team. This fully remote role will focus heavily on negotiating and settling personal injury claims, working alongside experienced case managers and attorneys to move a substantial caseload toward successful resolution while providing litigation support when needed.

The ideal candidate is a confident closer with strong plaintiff-side personal injury experience, exceptional negotiation skills, and the drive to deliver excellent outcomes. They are competitive, detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced environment with high standards.

Salary Range: $160,000 - $250,000 / Year, DOE


Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a high-volume portfolio of plaintiff personal injury matters through the pre-litigation phase
• Lead settlement negotiations with insurance carriers, defense representatives, and other parties to maximize client recoveries
• Evaluate claims, damages, liability, and settlement opportunities to determine effective negotiation strategies
• Collaborate closely with case managers, legal assistants and attorneys to keep cases progressing efficiently
• Address statutory liens, treating physician liens, and other issues affecting settlement and case resolution
• Review case documentation and provide legal guidance throughout the pre-litigation process
• Assist with litigation matters and departmental overflow as needed

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of relevant legal experience, with flexibility for candidates who bring significant negotiation and settlement experience
• Plaintiff-side pre-suit personal injury experience required
• Proven track record of successfully negotiating and settling personal injury claims
• Active California Bar membership required
• Experience handling statutory liens and treating physician liens
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload
• Detail-oriented, competitive, and results-driven approach with excellent judgment and follow-through
• Strong communication and collaboration skills without ego
• Spanish-speaking skills are preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
