Senior Business Development Director
STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES
Overview Senior Director of Business Development for the Central Region at STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES. Lead business development, sales leadership, and relationship management with contractors and engineers in the commercial/public markets. Collaborate with Engineering and Contractors to develop and sell strengthening solutions. Role based in the Mid-West or open to candidates nationwide. Responsibilities Implement and track progress of developed commercial/public market business plans. Help the sales team develop, maintain, and expand business relationships within the commercial/public markets across North America. Follow up, pursue, and communicate information on projects and client leads provided by Marketing. Participate in project review calls and maintain up-to-date CRM listings for Strengthening projects. Update existing company contact databases with new contacts obtained from presentations, meetings, conferences, etc. Expand the Company's relationships and clients by working with the business development team and independently. Identify opportunities and manage pursuit of projects to achieve annual sales goals. Collaborate with internal teams including estimating, construction operations, technical support and management to develop and sell solutions. Work with senior leadership to develop plans, strategies, and tactics to expand strengthening business within STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES. Participate in client meetings, workshop facilitation, lunch & learns, trade shows, and other typical business development activities. Engage in collaborative, cross-account sales activity and support a specialist approach across existing and new accounts. Support the sales team by delivering presentations to potential clients on products and construction offerings. Assist with drafts of proposals for Strengthening projects and revisions. Assist with assembling bid packages for Strengthening projects as necessary or requested. Attend jobsite walks and pre-bid meetings as needed. Qualifications 15+ years of experience building relationships and expanding a client base in the commercial/public market; preferably selling specialty construction services or products to general contracting firms. Demonstrated track record of success in a business development or client services leadership role. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce). Experience leading sales functions on high-value projects and meeting/exceeding sales goals using a CRM. Working knowledge of commercial/public projects and ability to position technology-driven solutions. Bachelor’s degree; candidates with a degree may be given preference.
