General Production Worker

This role operates in a fast-paced food and beverage processing environment, focusing on stacking and packaging dairy products to keep production moving safely and efficiently through the packaging and shipping stages. The position is physically demanding, requires being on your feet all day, and demands a strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and maintaining a consistent workflow in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Stack packaged dairy products onto pallets according to production requirements, specified stacking patterns, and load stability standards.
• Inspect products for correct labels, codes, seals, and overall quality before stacking to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Wrap, secure, and prepare completed pallets for storage or shipment, following established procedures.
• Move finished pallets to designated areas using pallet jacks or other approved material-handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by removing debris, shrink wrap, and empty packaging materials from the production floor.
• Support a safe and efficient production flow by working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures related to food and beverage processing and material handling.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a production, general labor, or general manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive stacking, packing, and material-handling tasks throughout a 12-hour shift.
• Capability to work on your feet all day in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting labels, codes, seals, and overall product quality.
• Ability to follow stacking patterns and load stability standards to build safe and secure pallets.
• Basic proficiency using pallet jacks or similar approved equipment to move finished pallets.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Previous experience in food and beverage or dairy processing environments is beneficial.
• Comfort working rotating 2-2-3 shifts, including weekdays and weekends.
• Ability to adapt to changing production needs while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in a manufacturing setting.

This is a contract position based out of Bakersfield, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
