RN - Mother-Baby / Post Partum

Postpartum RN - 3x12 Hour Shifts

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Weekend availability required.

The Postpartum RN is responsible for providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns during the postpartum period. RNs in this position must have strong skills in newborn care and be adept at performing various medical procedures and assessments.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, monitor vital signs, and perform glucose screenings for newborns.
• Provide baths and manage complex feeding for infants.
• Administer phototherapy and medications as required.
• Handle magnesium sulfate, insulin, PCA/PCEA, and heparin infusions.
• Educate parents on newborn care, including discharge teaching and breastfeeding support.
• Participate in unit activities and support interdisciplinary teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a postpartum or related setting.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Compact License.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and IBCLC required.
• Experience with EPIC charting is preferred.
