We are committed to contributing positively to the communities where we live, work and play.As a Quality Technician End Of Line Inspector (EOL), you will conduct detailed inspections of fabricated parts and in-process control inspections. You'll be responsible for auditing packaged, staged, and loaded shipments to ensure compliance with Cornerstone Building Brands quality requirements and specifications. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence in product quality.Key Responsibilities:Monitor, inspect, and report on all assigned activities and finished goods to ensure quality standards are metSubmit clear, concise, and accurate reports of inspections, audits, test results, job site visits, and delivered goodsConduct tests using a variety of specialized tools and equipmentPrepare daily quality control activity summariesDevelop and implement objectives, plans, and priorities to achieve quality control goalsCommunicate with Quality Manager on methods and problem-solving proceduresAssist with and periodically deliver internal and external auditsMaintain continuous improvement practices in work areaComplete and present basic Root Cause analysisInspect all incoming raw materials per inspection planRecord and maintain receiving inspection resultsComplete first article quality reportsVerify calibration of inspection test equipment and toolsMaintain gauge calibration database and recordsPerform product testing during manufacturing and record resultsEnsure adherence to production practices and product quality standardsAssist in documentation and resolution of nonconforming material and process discrepanciesEvaluate products to determine acceptabilityPerform start-up and changeover audits to verify product specificationsQualifications:Strong understanding of safety rules and precautions in manufacturing environmentsAbility to read and comprehend documents in English, including policy manuals, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manualsEffective communication skills for one-on-one and small group settingsProficiency in general mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, division)Problem-solving abilities for situations involving multiple variablesAbility to apply common sense understanding to work instructions in written, oral, or diagram formPhysical Requirements:Regular walking and standing throughout the shiftAbility to bend, stoop, use hands and fingers to handle objectsReach with hands and arms, lift, climb, and/or balance for essential tasksSpecific vision abilities including close-up and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perceptionAbility to work in areas near moving mechanical parts with occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals and extreme temperaturesTolerance for moderate noise levels (hearing protection may be required)Safety Requirements:Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hat, gloves, welding jacket or weld bibs, safety glasses, welding hood, and earplugs when accessing manufacturing areasCommitment to performing tasks in accordance with Ply Gem safety training, Employee Manual, and OSHA regulationsThe Cornerstone Building Brands DifferenceAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
