Cafe Manager
The Cafe Manager oversees all operations, staff, and volunteer teams for the ONE&ALL Cafe Ministry across multiple campuses. This role beautifully bridges business operations with pastoral ministry, ensuring the cafe delivers both high-quality service and an environment of radical, authentic hospitality that aligns with the mission of ONE&ALL Church.
Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Schedule: 35 Hours per week (Includes required Sunday/weekend services and weekday campus hours)
Compensation: $25.00 – $27.00 / hour (Depending on experience)

Ministry Leadership & Discipleship
- Pastoral Care: Provide spiritual leadership, intentional discipleship, and pastoral care to staff (during the week) and volunteer team members (on weekends).
- Team Development: Cultivate a healthy team culture by hosting intentional monthly 1:1s with staff and bi-annual check-ins with volunteer team members.
- Community Building: Plan team-bonding events and facilitate quarterly training sessions to equip, inspire, and unite the team.
- Hospitality Culture: Foster an environment of radical, authentic hospitality and excellent customer service for every guest.
Cafe Operations & Management
- Multi-Site Oversight: Ensure strict continuity in culture, guest service, operational procedures, and food/beverage quality between the San Dimas and Rancho campuses.
- Daily Execution: Act as the hands-on leader on Sundays (picking up donuts, opening the cafe, leading team huddles, and filling service roles) and support the floor during weekday rushes.
- Financial & Logistical Management: Oversee scheduling, timecards, ordering, invoices, budgets, and organizational procedures to ensure financial health.
- Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health and safety standards across all cafe locations.
- Menu & Prep: Oversee the creation, implementation, and weekly prep work for all food and beverage menu items.
Event & Cross-Ministry Collaboration
- Event Facilitation: Serve as the primary liaison for hospitality needs across other church ministries (e.g., Memorials, One Nights, Lead Team meetings).
- Catering: Plan and execute monthly catered meals for all-staff meetings.
- Strategic Growth: Collaborate with other ministry leads on events and actively identify strategic opportunities to grow both the business and ministry impact of the cafe.
All-Staff Responsibilities
- Spiritual Growth: Continue to grow as a follower of Christ, ensuring your ministry leadership overflows from your personal relationship with Him.
- Generosity: Faithfully tithe and give to the Lord through ONE&ALL Church consistently and sacrificially.
- Values & Church Life: Live out the ONE&ALL Staff Values, attend a campus service regularly, and actively serve during major church events (Easter, Team Weekend, Christmas).
- Presence & Meetings: Maintain required on-campus hours (Monday–Wednesday or as scheduled), and attend weekly campus and monthly staff meetings.
- Administrative Compliance: Monitor HR and financial policy compliance for the cafe ministry; approve non-exempt timecards by Monday 10:00 AM on payroll weeks, manage Paycor time-off requests, and conduct bi-annual performance evaluations.

- Dexterity: Fine motor skills required for operating espresso machines, handling hot beverages, and working with grills, toasters, and blades.
- Environment: High-volume, fast-paced environment with moderate-to-high stress during peak hours. Working in close proximity to coworkers in a smaller kitchen/cafe workspace.
- Sensory: Regular communication with staff, vendors, and guests in environments that include the loud music and large crowds typical of modern church gatherings. Must be able to strictly maintain health code standards.

Qualifications and Skills
Required (Must-Haves):
- Spiritual Alignment: A deep, visible commitment to Jesus Christ and a passion for discipleship and church ministry.
- Experience: Proven work experience as a restaurant/cafe manager and proficient barista skills.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience operating and maintaining commercial espresso machines.
- Certification: Valid Food Service Manager Certification (or ability to obtain quickly).
- Availability: Flexible schedule with mandatory availability for weekend services, mornings, and holidays.
- Soft Skills: Warm, amiable temperament with a natural ability to connect with strangers; excellent communication skills to motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
- Operational Skills: Strong mathematical, administrative, and multitasking abilities; able to remain calm and thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous experience managing a multi-site or church-based cafe ministry.
- Advanced knowledge of inventory management and budgeting software.
