Empowering our technicians with ongoing training and support to create memorable customer experiences.Role OverviewAs a Procurement Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our procurement team by organizing critical information, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring seamless project execution. Based in Hudson, FL, this role offers opportunities to specialize based on your expertise or geographic needs while upholding BGIS's commitment to professionalism, safety, and excellence.Key Responsibilities Procurement ActivitiesCoordinate estimating work following established processes.Review specifications and customer requirements to determine quality and methods.Source material pricing and prepare proposals for customers.Update job statuses via third-party platforms and communicate with customers.Order parts, track deliveries, and coordinate with the dispatch team for installation scheduling.Collaborate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and business leaders to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.Support additional procurement initiatives as needed.Business Functions & Project SupportPrioritize organizational needs, ensuring timely delivery of cost estimates and project tracking.Process warranties for residential and commercial clients.Maintain procurement databases and reports for reference.Assist with special projects and provide geographic or expertise-based support.Required Knowledge & SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or additional education is a plus.Minimum 1 year of estimating or transferable experience; HVAC industry experience preferred.Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.Strong math and analytical skills for accurate project scoping and cost estimation.Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong documentation skills.Creative, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively.High interpersonal skills with clear written and verbal communication.Ability to build effective relationships with team members, vendors, and clients.Why BGIS ITS Stands OutAt BGIS ITS, we foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and growth.
