Job Summary
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in Orange, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a high-volume, 426-bed acute care hospital identified as a Magnet facility. The RN will be responsible for managing labor and delivery procedures, performing sterile vaginal exams, and circulating during cesarean sections within a busy maternity unit.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 07/28/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; CA license in hand; able to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams; experience in large hospital settings highly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced AWHONN certification; familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring and high-risk obstetric care.
• Additional Information: Must be able to work weekends and holidays, with a commitment to shift availability and unit needs. Traveling candidates should be prepared to float among all facilities within the state. References covering at least 6 months within the past 3 years are required, along with a recent LA fire card. The role involves high-risk obstetric care with procedures such as cesarean sections, cervical cerclage, and high-risk deliveries.
