The business helps customers protect, package, store, and ship products. Its offering includes everyday packaging supplies as well as more specialized packaging solutions. The organization is expanding its Los Angeles sales team and offers an opportunity for motivated sales professionals to develop expertise in a specialized B2B industry.

THE JOB

Position: Outside Sales Rep

Location: Los Angeles, California

Our client is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Rep who enjoys prospecting, building customer relationships, and developing new business.

This is a field-oriented B2B sales role focused on identifying commercial customers, learning their packaging requirements, and developing opportunities through consistent prospecting and follow-up.

Previous packaging experience is not required.

Responsibilities include:

• Identify and prospect for new commercial customers.
• Build relationships with purchasing, operations, and other business decision makers.
• Conduct customer meetings and learn about packaging requirements.
• Present packaging products and solutions.
• Develop new-business opportunities through consistent follow-up.
• Work with internal teams to support customer needs.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline.
• Build long-term, recurring commercial relationships.
• Travel to customer locations as required.

The position is best suited to someone who is comfortable creating opportunities rather than relying on an established book of business.

Packaging sales can involve longer customer decision cycles, particularly when custom products or manufacturing requirements are involved.

Specific territory assignments, office expectations, reporting arrangements, and travel requirements will be confirmed during the hiring process.

• B2B sales or related customer-facing experience preferred.
• Industrial distribution, manufacturing, or commercial products exposure beneficial.
• Experience with CRM or structured pipeline management preferred.
• Packaging experience is not required.

THE BENEFITS

• $75,000 Base Salary plus Commissions. 80k - 85k Year 1, OTE. 100k+ in Year 2. 200k+ in Year 3.
