HealthRIGHT 360 offers residential treatment services designed to serve individuals and families with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health disorders.Our program helps clients address addiction and related issues, increase skills, manage stressors, connect to supportive service, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. Residential programs run 24/7 and individual and group therapy, family therapy, individualized case management, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, medication support services, and crisis intervention. This is a union eligible position. This is an On Call position: shift hours and days vary as needed.

Additionally, we provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement in the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health, we empower individuals to overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health, fostering resilience, and facilitating recovery. Overview of 815 Residential Program 815 Residential Program in San Francisco is an alcohol rehabilitation program offering a range of services, including substance abuse treatment, detoxification, and residential options such as short-term and long-term care, as well as sober living support. This facility provides specialized treatment for individuals with co-occurring disorders, HIV/AIDS, members of the LGBTQ+ community, seniors, pregnant or postpartum women, men, women, and individuals involved with the criminal justice system. The Therapist I (On-Call) role works collaboratively with a team consisting of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors and SUD Supervisors to provide valuable insight, direction, and oversight of Drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services. They also participate in a collaborative care process for clients, which includes providing individual and group therapy. Additionally, they are responsible for providing safe, supportive, and confidential counseling; maintaining a culturally competent stance; and always creating and maintaining a trauma informed program environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual Treatment Responsibilities: Manages an individual therapy caseload. Performs individual psychotherapy services in a residential setting. Provides counseling, support and psychoeducation for individuals with co-occurring disorders that include screening clients for appropriate levels of services, assessments, treatment planning, case management, and referrals. Maintains confidentiality while working as part of a treatment team and adhering to program norms. Participates in case conferences, treatment planning and clinical discussions to provide holistic care. Communicates with prescribing psychiatrists regarding psychotropic medication compliance, side effects, follow up appointments. Treatment Setting Responsibilities: Facilitates/co-facilitates process and psycho-educational groups for chronically mentally ill adults with co-morbid substance abuse diagnoses. Assists Intake Department with initial psychological assessments for individuals seeking admission to program. Assists clients and their care coordinators with referrals and other linkages to community resources. Performs floor duties in the milieu that include (but are not limited to) assisting clients in coordinating outside appointments and transportation, overseeing client participation in program activities, monitoring medications compliance, and mediating client conflict when it arises. Actively participate with the treatment team to continuously assess and refine clinical programming efforts. Manages client risk and crisis intervention. On call after hours pager rotation as well as rotating ‘Therapist of the Day’ responsibilities during regular business hours. Attending staff and agency meetings. Participates in agency training as required. Complies with Board requirements for license registration/renewal. Documentation Responsibilities: Conducts assessments, completes ANSAs, develops treatment plans, completes release and consent forms, billing and reporting paperwork in hard copy and online in various electronic systems. Completes Medicare and Medi-Cal documentation and billing. Documents individual and group services delivered in various electronic systems in accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements. Other Responsibilities: Conduct mental health assessments and follow up with each client and treatment counselor. Identify treatment needs, recommend treatment plans based on assessment, and work to ensure clients are able meet all requirements. Provide diagnostic feedback and assessment information to facilitate accurate level step up or step-down services to support client’s goals. Monitor client conduct, record client activity, and inform colleagues of potential challenges in treatment episodes. Provide crisis assessment and intervention as needed. Maintain appropriate/ethical boundaries with all clients and families served. Facilitate timely access to mental health services on site and within the community. Serve as the point of contact and coordinate referrals and follow-ups with health agencies. Coordinate discharge planning with client’s care coordinator. Facilitate psychoeducational groups on a variety of core curriculum topics including CBT, Seeking Safety, DBT and Coping with Stress Triggers. Monitor and maintain EMR reports to prevent and to correct any errors. Maintain compliance with due dates for all clinical documentation including assessment, treatment plan, treatment plan updates, re-assessments, discharges, outcome measures, and other clinical documents in accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements. And perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education, Experience, and Credentials Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field from an accredited graduate school. Registration (AMSW, AMFT, APCC) from a regionally accredited graduate school and registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS). First Aid and CPR Certified within 30 days of employment. Possession of valid California driver's license. Experience with Drug Medi-Cal operations. Experience with mental health assessment and diagnosis. Experience establishing supportive relationships and working with clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency. Knowledge and Skills Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet applications. Ability to work within a frequently changing project scope while maintaining overall direction and structured priorities. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining integrity and accuracy of data. Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Flexibility to alter work schedule to accommodate client availability. Must complete background check and livescan clearance.
