Technical Installer And Support Technician For Construction Machinery Control And Guidance Systems

Area of work: Northern Spain, with primary attention in the North-East, where our major commercial activity is concentrated.

Functions of the position:

• Installation, repair, calibration, support and commissioning of GPS and LPS systems for guidance and automation of construction machinery in the Northern Spain area.
• Training final customers, distributors and external collaborators of the systems manufactured by our brand.
• Telephone and remote support to colleagues, customers, distributors and collaborators.
• Collaboration with other team members for the resolution of incidents.
• Communications by mail or Teams in English with our Professional Services department for the report of incidents or improvements, request for help, etc.
• Field assistance in the entire Northern area for repairing breakdowns, performing equipment calibrations, training, etc.
• Availability to travel from Monday to Friday.
• Review of the equipment to be installed prior to each installation.
• Fluid communication with the support and commercial manager of the area to optimize weekly planning.
• Manufacturing of cables/harnesses according to schemes.
• Attendance at periodic training in our training center located in Concordia Sulla Secchia (Modena Italy). Self-training through our web platform "My Topcon Now" and other tools provided by the company.
• Creation of content such as installation guides and manuals.

Requirements:

Education & Experience

• Knowledge of electronics, electricity, electromechanical and hydraulic systems sufficient for the performance of the work.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in surveying systems and control of construction machinery: Excavators, dozers, motor graders, tractors, etc.
• Positive and solution-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work with technology.
• Availability to travel.
• Good communication skills with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to read and understand design drawings of components.
• Ability to read and understand schematic drawings of wiring.
• Use of test equipment such as power suppliers, multimeters, etc.
• Basic Microsoft Office suite computer skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Customer awareness and focus.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Basic English proficiency with technical orientation to:
• Understand technical documentation (manuals, guides, specifications).
• Attend technical training sessions conducted in English.
• Write simple technical content (reports, instructions, internal documentation).
• Handle specific terminology of the area.
