We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced HR professional to join our thriving HR Consulting team as a Part-Time HR Consultant. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to a diverse portfolio of clients — providing strategic HR guidance, managing complex projects, and delivering results that make a real impact for both organizations and their people. This is a client-facing, consultative role that requires someone who brings both deep HR expertise and exceptional relationship management skills. You will be expected to bring the level of strategic thinking, professionalism, and genuine care that RCR is known for. This is a fully remote position working 25-30 hours per week on a Monday-Friday schedule. We are seeking someone looking for permanent part-time employment, committed to RCR with flexibility in their schedule to work additional hours based on business needs. We are not looking for someone seeking part-time employment in addition to other employment.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a dedicated HR partner across a portfolio of client organizations in diverse industries
• Build deep, lasting relationships with client leadership — becoming their trusted go-to advisor for all people-related matters
• Provide proactive guidance that anticipates HR challenges before they escalate
• Deliver the 'wow factor' in every client interaction through exceptional responsiveness, expertise, and follow-through

• Lead and manage complex employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution
• Coach managers on performance management best practices, documentation standards, and conducting difficult conversations
• Design and implement performance improvement frameworks aligned with each client's culture and business goals
• Navigate sensitive situations with discretion, empathy, and sound professional judgment

• Lead end-to-end HR projects including policy development, process redesign, and organizational change initiatives
• Develop and execute change management plans that drive adoption, minimize disruption, and bring stakeholders along
• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines consistently
• Prepare and deliver clear, compelling presentations and recommendations to senior leadership

• Advise clients on benefits plan design, open enrollment coordination, and carrier transitions
• Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws including ACA, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA
• Partner with brokers and vendors to resolve escalated issues and optimize plan performance for client employees
• Support payroll-related inquiries and collaborate on deduction audits, compliance corrections, and reporting (preferred)

• Develop polished HR communications including policies, employee handbooks, memos, and training materials
• Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and leadership development programs for client teams
• Translate complex HR regulations and best practices into clear, actionable guidance for leaders at all levels

Qualifications:

• 7-10 Years of General HR Experience: Demonstrated success across diverse HR functions, with expertise in employee relations, recruiting, payroll, benefits administration, and policy development.
• HR Business Partner Experience: Proven ability to work closely with leadership and employees to address organizational needs, with a focus on employee relations and strategic HR initiatives.
• Independent Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Educational Background: BA/BS in Human Resources or a related field is required, providing a strong academic foundation in HR principles.
• Certification Preferred: PHR or SHRM-CP certification is preferred, showcasing commitment to professional development.
• Multi-Entity Experience: Experience supporting multiple businesses or entities is a plus.
• Remote Work Experience: Previous experience working in a remote work setting is required, this position is a remote/work from home role.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt your style from frontline managers to C-suite executives
• In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR compliance across federal and state jurisdictions

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior HR consulting, PEO, or HRO experience strongly preferred
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms and the full Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary Range: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
