At Nautilus Homes, our estimating team plays a critical role in delivering some of Florida's most distinctive custom waterfront homes. Working alongside Project Managers, architects, and trade partners, you'll help transform design concepts into accurate budgets, competitive bids, and successful construction projects. What You'll Do Your Responsibilities Include Prepare conceptual budgets, design-phase estimates, and final control estimates Review construction drawings and specifications for scope, constructability, and pricing opportunities Develop baseline project schedules to support estimating and planning Prepare and distribute bid packages to subcontractors and suppliers Analyze and level subcontractor proposals while preparing award recommendations Support Project Managers through procurement, buyout, and subcontract preparation Price change orders and provide estimating support throughout construction Maintain historical cost data to improve future estimating accuracy Build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers throughout the region What We're Looking For 5+ years of estimating, preconstruction, procurement, or project management experience Experience in luxury custom homes or high-end residential construction preferred Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and estimating practices Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents Experience managing subcontractor bidding and procurement Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Excel, and construction estimating software Working knowledge of Florida residential construction and permitting requirements Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed What Success Looks Like In This Role, You Will Deliver accurate, well-organized estimates that support successful project execution Build strong relationships with trusted subcontractors and suppliers Help Project Managers make informed decisions through reliable budgeting and procurement Identify risks and opportunities early in the preconstruction process Contribute to the exceptional quality and client experience that define Nautilus Homes Why Join Nautilus Homes?
