Residential HVAC EstimatorBayonet Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning — a leading IES company and one of Florida's largest residential mechanical contractors — is seeking a Residential HVAC Estimator to work full-time. This is an onsite position.This is a key leadership role for an experienced HVAC estimator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, production-builder environment and understands the financial importance of disciplined, accurate estimating.The Residential HVAC Estimator will oversee HVAC estimating operations supporting multiple branches, working closely with operations, purchasing, and executive leadership. This role is in-office to ensure real-time collaboration, accountability, and consistency across our estimating and operations teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead HVAC estimating for production and custom residential projectsEstablish and maintain standardized estimating processes, templates, and pricing modelsReview and validate bids for scope accuracy, code compliance, and profitabilitySupport branch teams in meeting builder bid deadlinesCoordinate and review HVAC load calculations and system designsAnalyze labor, material, and overhead assumptions to protect marginMentor and support estimating staff across branchesServe as a technical and pricing resource to operations and leadershipAssist with strategic pricing, value engineering, and builder negotiationsSpecific QualificationsQualifications7+ years residential HVAC estimating experience (production builder experience strongly preferred)Strong understanding of HVAC systems, duct design, equipment selection, and load calculationsProven experience supporting high-volume builder environmentsSolid financial and cost-analysis skillsAdvanced Excel skills; estimating software experience requiredStrong communication, organization, and leadership skillsWhy BayonetLong-standing relationships with Florida's top homebuildersFinancially stable, well-capitalized organization backed by IESLeadership role with real influence on pricing, margin, and growthCompetitive compensation and full benefits packageLong-term career path within a multi-trade organizationCompany OverviewIES is a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services to a variety of end markets, including electrical, mechanical and communications contracting solutions for the commercial, industrial, residential and renewable energy markets.
