Examination will remain open until the needs of the service are met and may be closed without prior notice. Responsibilities Coordinate change management documentation and approvals. Lead user requirements definition, feasibility studies, design, program specifications, testing, and implementation. Monitor application systems functionality and develop management procedures and quality standards. Conduct interviews, perform workflow analysis, document scope and objectives, and lead design sessions. Research commercial software and evaluate products for departmental requirements. Evaluate impact, perform cost/benefit analysis, and assess risks to support go/no‑go decisions. Coordinate preparation of detailed specifications, data requirements, interfaces, security, audit trails, and business continuity requirements. Develop and maintain implementation and conversion plans, including training and test plans. Develop test scenarios for complex systems, prepare user acceptance test documentation, and conduct testing. Coordinate resolution of complex problems, unit testing, integration testing, production simulation, load testing, and network testing. Review and approve technical documentation and user manuals. Monitor contractor compliance and maintain project plans and reports. Mentor other analysts and lead analyst teams. Coordinate software installation and procurement specifications. Physical Class II – Light: Administrative and clerical duties requiring light physical effort, occasional light lifting up to 10 pounds, and some bending, stooping, or squatting. License Requirement: A valid California Class C Driver License or alternative transportation method when needed. Qualifications Option I: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus at least two (2) years of recent, full‑time, paid experience in information systems analysis and design within a centralized IT organization. Option II: At least one (1) year of experience at the level of Information Systems Analyst II. Option III: At least three (3) years of recent, full‑time, paid experience in information systems analysis and design within a centralized IT organization.
