Associate Attorney

Location: On-site in their Denver, Colorado locations Start Date: ASAP First round virtual with team (30 min virtual) Final in person with team Must Have Skills: J.D. from an accredited law school and active Colorado Bar admission 3+ years of Family Law and/or Civil Litigation experience Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and legal briefs Experience attending hearings and supporting trial preparation Strong legal research and writing skills Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously Excellent client communication and relationship management skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with attorneys and support staff Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Nice to Have Skills: 5+ years of Family Law experience Experience independently managing a full caseload Judicial clerkship or judicial law clerk experience Experience handling matters from intake through resolution Existing relationships within the Colorado legal community Trial experience beyond preparation and support functions Day-to-Day Responsibilities: A Family Law firm based in Colorado is looking to add an Associate to their team! This Associate Attorney will support partners and senior attorneys on a variety of family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and other domestic relations cases. The individual will draft motions, pleadings, and legal documents, conduct legal research, prepare for hearings and trial proceedings, and maintain direct communication with clients throughout the litigation process. Initially, the attorney will assist with active cases while learning the firm's processes and expectations. Over time, they will assume greater ownership of matters and develop an independent caseload. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced litigation environment, can manage competing priorities and court deadlines, and values collaboration and mentorship while building toward long-term career growth within the firm.
