Make a difference by providing specialized educational support as an in-home tutor for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Special Education Teacher with experience supporting mild to moderate needs. You’ll work closely with a high school male student (9th grade), offering personalized instruction for 5 hours per week across two homes in El Segundo, CA. Enjoy the flexibility of negotiating your schedule directly with the student’s family to best fit both your commitments.
Key Qualifications:
- Active California credential in Mild/Moderate Special Education is required
- Prior experience delivering instruction or tutoring in a home or school setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with families
- Adaptability to personalize instruction and support executive functioning
- Professionalism, reliability, and passion for student growth
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one academic instruction to a 9th grade student with mild to moderate special education needs
- Collaborate with families to determine optimal meeting times and regularly adjust as needed
- Design individualized lessons and track student progress
- Implement instructional strategies and behavioral support tailored to student goals
- Maintain accurate records and communicate ongoing progress with all stakeholders
This part-time contract offers a pay range of $40–$55 per hour, reflecting your experience and expertise.
