Job Summary

Our client is seeking a results-driven Medical Collections Specialist to join their Central Business Office. This role involves aggressive follow-up, appeal, and resolution of unpaid or denied inpatient hospital claims with government and commercial payers. The ideal candidate will have experience navigating complex UB-04 claims, analyzing payer remittances, and overturning high-dollar DRG denials. If you excel at investigating root causes for non-payment, pursuing timely-filing appeals, and securing accurate hospital reimbursement, you are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Aggressively follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
• Appeal and resolve inpatient hospital claims with various payers.
• Investigate root causes for non-payment and pursue timely-filing appeals.
• Secure accurate hospital reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 2 years of inpatient hospital billing (AR/Collections) experience
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, commercial insurance, and out-of-state payers
• Knowledge of out-of-state Medicaid and TX Medicaid

Experience

• 2 years of inpatient hospital billing (AR/Collections) experience.

Skills

• Proficiency in Meditech EMR and Clearinghouse: ABILITY/Inovalon.
• Strong detail orientation and persistence.

Additional Requirements

• Onsite work with the potential for future hybrid work.
• Standard business hours from 9 am - 3 pm with flexibility.
