Senior Accounting Manager Consultant

About the Opportunity We are partnering with a large company seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Manager to provide interim accounting support. This consultant will play a key role in supporting the accounting function during month‑end close, with a focus on general ledger activities, debt accounting, and balance sheet review processes. The engagement requires a hands‑on leader who can step in quickly, review complex accounting areas, and provide oversight to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Duration: 3‑4 month project Location: Hybrid – San Diego, CA Compensation: $75‑$100 per hour, W‑2 Scope Support core general ledger accounting activities and assist with the month‑end close process Perform and review debt‑related accounting entries and supporting documentation Conduct balance sheet and flux analysis to identify and resolve variances Review accrual journal entries and related supporting schedules for completeness and accuracy Oversee liability reconciliations and ensure proper documentation and resolution of discrepancies Provide review and guidance for work prepared by a junior accounting team member Collaborate with the broader accounting team to maintain close timelines and reporting standards Assist in maintaining strong internal controls and consistent accounting practices during the engagement Qualifications & Expertise Prior experience operating at a Senior Accounting Manager level or higher supporting general ledger and close processes Prior experience in a large or complex public company environment Big 4 or national audit firm experience preferred Strong background in debt accounting and complex balance sheet reconciliations Demonstrated experience reviewing accruals and liability‑related accounting activity Ability to review work, provide feedback, and mentor junior accounting staff Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced close environment with shifting priorities Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when reviewing financial data and reconciliations Excellent collaboration and communication skills when partnering across accounting teams #J-18808-Ljbffr Sayva Solutions
