Packaging Engineer

Packaging degree and 2-5 years of CPG / consumer packaged goods commercialization experience. (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree also will be considered.) Experience in package development, testing, materials, and components (understanding of torques, sealing, assembly, print technologies, and document management. Molding/forming is a plus, but likely not needed for this role. Knowledgeable of assembly manufacturing environments is a plus, as related to component storage, handling, package filling, capping, sealing, labeling, coding, assembly, packing, palletizing, transit, etc., ensuring a comprehensive view is considered during development and validations. Track record of anticipating needs by manager or team members and effectively communicating and collaborating so that entire team is successful. Ability to work independently while keeping manager and team appraised. Ability to recommend solutions that consider sustainability (PCR content and recyclability) and fit for purpose.
