Job Summary and Qualifications

Under general supervision of his/her administrative report, this position is responsible for the efficient, effective running of the assigned unit. This includes, but is not limited to management of the budget, provision of patient care services, performance improvement, compliance with regulatory standards, and business development. Will manage the Radiation Right Program as well as the Radiation Safety Committee at the facility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general supervision of the administrative report, this position is responsible for the efficient, effective running of the assigned unit. This includes, but is not limited to, management of the budget, provision of patient care services, performance improvement, compliance with regulatory standards, and business development. Will manage the Radiation Right Program as well as the Radiation Safety Committee at the facility.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effectively allocates financial, physical and human resources to ensure that operations are effective and efficient.
• Effectively interprets and acts upon budget reports.
• Completes a cost/benefits analysis on business plans.
• Implements effective cost containment strategies.
• Advances organizational mission.
• Operates across organizational boundaries and recognizes implications of actions and plans.
• Ensures Department/Unit provides positive customer service.
• Identifies critical changes required to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Establishes clear Operational Unit goals and hold staff accountable for their responsibilities and performance.

• Facilitates staff education regarding current quality initiatives.
• Maintain charge master standardization.
• Maintains charge audits.
• Ensures PMs are completed on all equipment.
• Ensures repairs are made in a timely manner.
• Ensures physicist inspections quarterly and annually.
• Follow-up on recommendations from physicist.
• Maintains JACHO and TDH regulations.
• Assesses and revises QCQA Program annually.
• Assesses scheduling needs for staffing in relation to workload.
• Assesses examination schedules for timeliness and safety.
• Performs high-level disinfection.

What qualifications you will need:

Education

• Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred.

Experience

• 3 years management experience required, 5 years preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications

• CT/RAD Technologist, ARRT registry, TDH license, BLS obtained by approved HCA vendor.
