Introduction: This is an individual contributor role for a proven sales professional who excels at building new business. You will be responsible for developing your territory strategy, creating opportunities, winning new clients, and growing those relationships over time. The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of significant business development experience, strong consultative selling skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and executing an annual territory plan to build and grow new business with the goal of meeting and striving to exceed assigned quarterly and annual bookings targets.
- Able to build a territory from the ground up including prospecting, networking, securing meetings, and winning new opportunities.
- Use CRM, sales enablement tools, and AI-supported workflows effectively throughout the sales process.
- Lead the development of new client relationships and expand successful engagements into broader enterprise partnerships.
- Adept at understanding client needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
- Understand client business challenges and tailor solutions to meet their needs.
- Deliver strategic, insight-led presentations and proposals, drawing on the right internal expertise when needed.
- Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders across functions and levels.
- Partner with Research & Client Services on smooth internal transitions to deliver great service, drive repeat buying of our solutions, and allow clients to realize the benefit of our technology and research solutions.
- Collaborate effectively across internal teams to deliver commercial success and long-term client value.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and opportunity analysis for leadership.
- Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience, with7+ years of success selling research, insights, or technology-enabled solutions to consumer insights and marketing functions
- Successful track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive (yet attainable) sales targets.
- Must have experience in selling market research and technology solutions.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to win new business and grow recurring client relationships.
- Strong consultative selling skills, including the ability to build proposals, price to win, and present effectively to senior client stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with both internal partners and external clients.
- Excellent active listening skills with the ability to identify problems and determine the appropriate creative paths to resolution.
