Healthy Motion Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our compassionate team in Sanford, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement customized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function, all while optimizing the client's performance within their abilities.
• Evaluate and oversee the implementation of care plans by Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring the highest standard of therapy delivery.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical function using specialized diagnostic and prognostic tests, guiding treatment strategies accordingly.
• Assess the home environment to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend modifications that enhance client independence and safety.
• Assess, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices when necessary and collaborate with physicians for appropriate recommendations.
• Maintain accurate clinical records including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to refine strategies and improve the overall treatment plan for each client.
• Provide education and training to clients and their families regarding exercise programs and the care of therapeutic devices.
• Stay accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants during their patient interactions to ensure adherence to therapy protocols and best practices.
• Complete all documentation in a timely manner, including clinical reports and payroll documentation, according to branch policies.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives aimed at continuously improving patient care outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve clients recovering from orthopedic conditions, surgeries, or injuries that necessitate physical rehabilitation at home. Our patient population values the personalized nature of in-home healthcare, requiring the therapist to be adaptable, empathetic, and skilled in addressing a variety of orthopedic challenges. Each client's care plan will be developed with a strong emphasis on functional outcomes and quality of life enhancement.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• One year of experience as a licensed physical therapist is required, preferably in acute care or home care settings.
• Current Physical Therapy license in good standing in Florida.
• CPR certification is mandatory.
• Valid driver's license and active automobile insurance are required to travel to client locations.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence and quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working specifically with orthopedic patients is preferred.
• Proficiency in using rehabilitation tools and technologies relevant to in-home settings.
• Previous experience in developing patient-focused care plans and collaborating in a multidisciplinary team is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate assistants and aides in therapy practices.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of approximately USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
