Work Environment

This position will operate onsite within our cutting-edge rehabilitation facility, where you will collaborate with a tight-knit team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our supportive work culture emphasizes teamwork and continuous professional development, creating an environment where staff can thrive and deliver high-quality patient care. Regular hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, provide a predictable work schedule conducive to work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address the specific needs and objectives of each patient.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring efficient and focused care tailored to maximizing functional recovery.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions and treatment protocols aimed at improving patient mobility, strength, and overall function.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and specialized exercises to alleviate pain and rehabilitate injuries.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary based on their feedback and treatment outcomes.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal patient care and rehabilitation strategies.
• Educate patients on exercise regimens, self-management strategies, and lifestyle adjustments to promote long-term health and mobility.
• Conduct motivational sessions to encourage and engage patients throughout their treatment journey, ensuring accountability and commitment to their rehabilitation goals.
• Promote preventive care practices and healthy lifestyle choices among patients to reduce the risk of injury recurrence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, which may include post-surgical rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, chronic pain management, and general mobility issues. You will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse clientele, ranging from active individuals seeking to return to their sport, to seniors looking to improve their mobility and independence. Through your expertise, you will be instrumental in guiding these patients toward improved functional outcomes and quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid and clean license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• No history of board actions or disciplinary measures against your license.
• Demonstrated skill and experience in manual therapy techniques and a proficiency in building comprehensive exercise programs.
• Adept at using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software; experience with platforms like WebPT is preferred.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly beneficial, as it will equip you with the necessary skills to effectively address the complexities of our patient population. Demonstrated success in utilizing innovative treatment modalities and techniques to optimize patient outcomes will also set you apart as a candidate.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
