Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, safe patient care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. They coordinate patient assessments, treatments, and ongoing monitoring to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions promptly and thoroughly upon admission and throughout the shift.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical data.
• Administer medications, interventions, and treatments following established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and families regarding patient status and care plans.
• Monitor hemodynamic parameters and interpret diagnostic results to inform clinical decisions.
• Respond swiftly and accurately to changes in patient conditions and emergency situations.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid and current state RN license.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications; CCRN certification preferred.
• Have a minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in acute or critical care settings.
• Demonstrate experience with EPIC EMR systems.
• Be willing to float to Medical-Surgical units if needed.
• COVID vaccination/boosters are preferred.
