Staff AccountantRapidFire Safety & Security is a leading provider of fire life safety and security solutions, earning customer trust by delivering exceptional value through strategic acquisitions, allowing us to drive organic growth in every market through the excellence of our teammates.We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team, to assist with day-to-day accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.General AccountingAssist with the compilation of financial statements using NetSuiteMonitor daily banking transactions and make entries in NetSuitePrepare monthly bank reconciliations for numerous bank accountsMake monthly prepaid and accrual journal entriesPerform various balance sheet account reconciliationsMonitor for timely filing and compliance regarding Sales/Use Tax returnsAccounts PayableAssist with management of Accounts Payable processMaintain Bill.com AP automation systemProcess vendor invoices and credit memos in Bill.comAnalyze, reconcile and record various other vendor related entries into NetSuiteProcess 1099's at year-endKnowledge, Skill & Other RequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting plus 2-5 years of experience in general accounting role, with some experience in Accounts Payable preferredMaintain proficiency in all software platforms utilized by the company, including QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage accounting platforms, Bill.com, Microsoft Office products (including Excel and Word), and the Company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) softwareKnowledge of financial accounting standards (GAAP) preferredExperience and comfort working in a start-up environment a plusExcellent customer service and communication skillsAcute attention to detailWillingness to adapt to evolving new technologies and processesMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.
