Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor for their Saint Paul lab to prepare, identify, label, and route biological specimens for testing. The role involves data entry, inventory management, and meeting production standards in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Unpack specimens and route them to designated staging and testing areas
- Accurately identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to appropriate facilities
- Enter patient information and specimen data accurately and timely
- Resolve, document, and properly store problem or excess specimens
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens and passing color blindness test
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
- Experience working effectively in team settings
Compensation: $17.75 per hour
