Accountant

AppleOne is pleased to partner with a client in south Orange County needing an experienced accountant. This is a temporary (up to 6 months) role. Must-Have Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience (government/municipal accounting preferred). Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, and year-end close. Experience preparing financial statements, audit schedules, and supporting annual audits. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software. Ability to analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and recommend process improvements. Knowledge of federal, state, and local accounting regulations. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
