Senior Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a leader in innovative mechanical and electro-mechanical product development, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving the design and development of cutting-edge products, collaborating across departments, and mentoring emerging engineering talent. Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: San Antonio, TX

Pay Range: $150,000 - $170,000

What's the Job?

• Serve as the Technical Lead for new product development, guiding mechanical and electro-mechanical projects through the entire phase gate process.
• Conduct design analysis using tools such as FEA and CFD, and facilitate design reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and DFM reviews to ensure robust product designs.
• Act as a product expert, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including supply chain, manufacturing engineering, sales, and quality to develop and support innovative products.
• Engage externally with customers and suppliers on technical topics to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
• Work alongside the Program Manager to estimate product costs and development timelines, ensuring project milestones are met efficiently.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; an MS in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D mechanical design software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience with analysis tools such as FEA, CFD, and tolerance stack analysis.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
