Senior Marketing Manager

Description A Senior Marketing Manager develops and executes the overall marketing strategy for the organization, serving as the bridge between market opportunities, product development, sales growth, and customer engagement. This position provides leadership in market research, product positioning, go-to-market strategy, demand generation, brand development, digital marketing, sales enablement, and market expansion initiatives. The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for identifying new growth opportunities, developing compelling value propositions, leading product launch initiatives, managing marketing programs and resources, and measuring business impact through data-driven decision making. This role oversees the marketing function and collaborates closely with leadership, sales, operations, and engineering teams to ensure Georg Utz remains at the forefront of innovation and customer value. Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Business Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company objectives, growth initiatives, and market expansion opportunities. Market & Customer Intelligence: Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, customer feedback collection, and industry trend monitoring to identify growth opportunities and emerging market needs. Innovation & Opportunity Development: Identify new markets, applications, products, and customer segments to drive business diversification and sustainable growth. Brand Management & Positioning: Lead brand strategy and develop compelling messaging that effectively communicates Georg Utz's value proposition and competitive differentiation. Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Own GTM strategies and develop integrated marketing plans supporting product launches, solution commercialization, and business growth initiatives. Product Launches & Commercialization: Lead cross-functional product launch initiatives ensuring successful market adoption and revenue generation. Demand Generation & Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute digital marketing, content marketing, trade show, customer event, and lead generation campaigns. Sales Enablement: Create sales tools, presentations, collateral, training materials, and market insights that empower the sales team to effectively engage customers and win business. Customer Engagement: Support customer acquisition, retention, and growth initiatives through strategic marketing programs and customer communication efforts. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Product Development, and Leadership teams to align strategies and achieve business objectives. Performance Measurement: Establish key performance metrics, monitor marketing effectiveness, analyze data, and provide actionable recommendations to improve business results. Budget Management: Develop and manage marketing budgets while maximizing return on investment across marketing initiatives. Manage and Develop Marketing Team: Lead, coach, and develop marketing personnel while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Current direct reports include one Marketing Coordinator and one Sales & Marketing Associate. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of progressive marketing experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility. Experience in manufacturing, industrial products, packaging industry, or related B2B environments (plastic packaging preferred). Strong understanding of market research, competitive analysis, demand generation, and strategic business development. Proven ability to develop and execute successful go-to-market strategies and product launch initiatives. Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization. Ability to translate technical product features into compelling customer-focused value propositions. Experience leading and developing marketing teams. Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills. Data-driven decision-making skills with experience measuring campaign effectiveness and marketing ROI.
