Director, Strategy

Overview The Director, Strategy defines daily functional management of client needs and leads the day‑to‑day work of the Strategy team. Responsibilities You will serve as one of the critical client leads overseeing the media strategy You will possess in-depth understanding of the role of media channels in a plan You will further develop your expertise in different media research tools You will provide support to VP, Strategy and other senior leaders in the planning You will manage a team of direct and a larger team of indirect reports, managing them in: Onboarding Performance Management Providing training processes and tools Managing and delegating team workload Coaching the team to achieve client and agency requests You will manage multiple accounts and transition between them, conducting the following activities: Being accountable to the team’s deliverables and outcomes Providing initial feedback on media strategies, timelines, and deliverables in partnership with other teams Providing input to the client to help shape their marketing priorities Developing a daily relationship with appropriate clients on assigned brands Overseeing overall media strategy, approach, and plan on each account Managing the media channel mix and initial budget allocation & rationale Representing the interests of other capability teams in client and agency partner meetings You will collaborate with internal leaders to ensure strategic agreement of deliverables with client needs Push for continuous improvement of self, team, and client deliverables You will be responsible for organic growth efforts on your account and may be asked to assist in new business efforts Qualifications 5‑7+ years of media planning experience 2+ years of recent HCP Media Strategy Experience 2+ years of management experience 2+ years of cross‑channel media planning experience Additional Information Publicis Groupe motto “Viva La Différence” underscores our commitment to belonging and creating equitable and inclusive experiences for all talent.
