Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with PACU experience to provide high-quality patient care during recovery phases. The role involves working in a fast-paced, short-term acute care setting with a focus on post-operative recovery and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient recovery progress and vital signs post-surgery.
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor for adverse reactions or complications during recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth patient transitions.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (Epic).
• Adhere to compliance requirements including certifications and competency standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license in good standing.
• Have at least 1 year of PACU or perioperative nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in phlebotomy and IV placement.
• Possess current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Be able to work two weekend call shifts per month, with flexible scheduling.
• Be located more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel assignment.
