Strategic Sourcing Manager

The Environment This role operates within a manufacturing environment supporting highly engineered aerospace products. The supply chain is complex and performance-driven, requiring close coordination with engineering, operations, and program teams to meet production and quality requirements. The environment is fast-paced and detail-oriented, with a strong emphasis on supplier collaboration, cost control, and risk mitigation. The role includes regular interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders, as well as travel to support supplier evaluation and development. Key Focus Areas & What Success Looks Like A high-performing, reliable supply base that supports production schedules and quality standards Effective sourcing strategies across key commodities, including raw materials, machined components, and assemblies Improved cost performance through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supplier optimization Strong supplier relationships with clear accountability for performance and delivery Data-driven decision making across “make vs. buy,” cost modeling, and sourcing strategies Proactive identification and mitigation of supply chain risks 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or commodity management within a manufacturing environment Experience working with complex supply chains, preferably in aerospace or highly regulated industries Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships Experience with ERP/MRP systems and procurement processes Ability to analyze cost structures and develop sourcing strategies that drive efficiency Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and program teams Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities #J-18808-Ljbffr Index Search Group
