Seven Healthcare are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a per diem, flexible shift opportunity in Eureka Springs, AR. This role requires availability to work both day and night shifts, typically including one 12-hour night shift and every other Saturday day shift.

Key Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technician

• Adheres to UNIVERSAL PRECAUTIONS standards
• Understand and comply with policies and procedures
• Demonstrate dependability & responsibility - including attendance, punctuality, and following instructions
• Perform venipuncture skill
• Conduct daily quality control & daily maintenance per guidelines
• Complete testing in a timely, concise manner
• Operation and troubleshooting of chemistry analyzers
• Operation and troubleshooting of UA analyzers
• Operation and troubleshooting of hematology analyzers
• Operation and troubleshooting of coag analyzers
• Perform blood bank testing including type, RH, antibody screening, compatibility testing, and QC
• Exhibit courtesy and professional conduct towards patients, lab staff, physicians, and other employees
• Conduct miscellaneous testing including serological/micro testing, and microscopic testing
• Communicate and share important information with co-workers, supervisors, fellow employees, and physicians
• Maintain overall quality of performance and conduct

Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Technician

• Must have ASCP or AMT certification at time of submission
• Blood bank experience is a plus
