Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing critical care in a fast-paced environment while managing a wide range of patient conditions.Shift DetailsShift: 1845-0715 (Nights)Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per weekWeekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends of a 4-week posted schedule)Patient Ratio: 1:5Required Skills and ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of experience in a Level III Trauma Center or Primary Stroke CenterFirst-time travelers are accepted. Local candidates must reside more than 50 miles away.Proficient in General Emergency Department care handling both Adult and Pediatric patientsExperience with the interpretation and management of dysrhythmiasAbility to manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failureKnowledge in Blood Product Administration and Central Line Care/ManagementSkilled in Phlebotomy, IV starts, Continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressorsExperience with various emergencies including CVA, Neuro-Trauma, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuriesCapable of handling Orthopedic Trauma, abdominal pain, asthma, burns, epiglottitis, head injuries, hyperglycemia, identifying and reporting abuse, infections, mental/behavioral health conditions, respiratory infections, seizures, urinary tract infections, ventilated patients, gunshot wounds, and traumatic amputationsCertifications RequiredACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)BLS (Basic Life Support)NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)Preferred Skills and CertificationsCPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation)Unit SystemsMedication: EPICDocumentation: PyxisCommunication: SBARUnit OrientationDuration: 24 hoursIf you are dedicated, skilled, and ready to make a difference in the lives of our patients, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.Client Details State NY
