Position Summary Position Summary... What You Will Do Gather requirements to design and plan software solutions Design and implement software solutions by writing code in a manner consistent with the company’s coding standards and guidelines Test code to ensure it is performing as expected in regard to correctness and performance Manage programming tasks and ensure they are worked on in priority order as determined by the manager Track bugs in the code and provide fixes in a timely manner Participate in the planning and scheduling of tasks, and be responsible for meeting deadlines as determined jointly with the manager Produce internal and external documentation for software components Recommend changes and improvements in the overall shared codebase Stay up-to-date with current development tools, processes, and techniques as related to the type of programming tasks assigned Protect operations by keeping information confidential Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues About You Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science) or equivalent experience 3‑5 years of development experience Expert experience with .NET and C# Expert ability to troubleshoot, debug, and performance‑tune software code Demonstrable experience building and supporting reliable, always‑on backend services Experience building solutions using AWS and Terraform Experience with Docker containers and container orchestration systems Experience with scalable distributed systems Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, MySQL, MongoDB) Experience with Angular or other comparable modern front‑end tools Excellent communication skills: strong verbal and written communication and ability to adapt to the level and nature of the audience Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a careful approach to handling issues Ability and desire to learn new technologies Minimum Qualifications Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year’s experience in software engineering or related area. Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. Knowledge of accessibility best practices and a commitment to supporting an inclusive culture through Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines. Location and Compensation Seattle, Washington US‑11573: The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00–$216,000.00. Denver, Colorado US‑11581: The annual salary range for this position is $99,000.00–$198,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
