The Role

The firm is seeking an ambitious, technically capable CPA to join as a Senior Tax Consultant. This is a hands-on, generalist tax position for someone who enjoys tax compliance but also wants to develop deeper expertise in consulting, planning, and client advisory services.
You'll work closely with the founding partners, assume responsibility for an established book of business, and build the technical, client relationship, and production capabilities needed to advance toward partnership.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and manage tax compliance engagements across individual, trust, estate, gift, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax matters.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies for a diverse client base.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive service, proactive communication, and thoughtful tax guidance.
Take responsibility for an established book of business valued at approximately $300K, maintaining client relationships and identifying opportunities to grow the practice.
Work directly with the founding partners to expand technical expertise and develop tax consulting and advisory capabilities.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide practical recommendations tailored to each client's circumstances.
Contribute to the firm's continued growth through strong client service, production, and business development.
Demonstrate the initiative, professionalism, and production necessary to progress toward partnership.

Qualifications
Active CPA license required.
Public accounting experience with a broad, generalist tax background.
Working knowledge of individual, trust and estate, gift, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation taxation.
Strong tax compliance skills and a genuine interest in tax consulting and planning.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
A self-starter with drive, ambition, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
A desire to grow professionally, develop a client base, and ultimately become a partner and owner.
Willingness to work onsite five days per week in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. during standard periods.
Generally 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. during busy season.
