You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of assigned patients.Responsibilities:Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patientsDiagnose and establish patient treatment plansMonitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behaviorCommunicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient careEducate patients about health maintenance and disease preventionFacilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilitiesAssist in the admissions departmentMaintain accurate patient medical recordsProvide advice and emotional support to patients and their family membersQualifications:Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York State (NYS RN - Required)Current BLS/CPR certification (Required)Bachelor's Degree highly preferred(1) One year in psychiatric nursing highly preferredMinimum (2) years of proven medical-surgical nursing experience(1) One year charge nurse experience or Nurse supervisory experience requiredFamiliarity with medical software and equipmentAbility to build rapport with patientsStrong problem solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environmentJoin BryLin Hospital!!!This job description may not be inclusive of all assigned duties, responsibilities, or aspects of the job described, and may be amended at any time at the sole discretion of the Employer.
