Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Teaching Certification with Special Education (SPED) endorsement
• Previous experience working with students with mild to moderate needs preferred
• Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
• Commitment to maintaining an inclusive and respectful classroom environment
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

• Develop, adapt, and deliver lesson plans that meet the needs of students with special needs
• Collaborate with counselors, support staff, and fellow educators to ensure the best outcomes
• Monitor student progress and keep clear, comprehensive records in accordance with state guidelines
• Foster a supportive, engaging, and safe learning space
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and any necessary adaptations
• Attend IEP meetings, professional development, and school events as required
