Accounting Associate

If you are a Associate with experience, please read on!What You Will Be Doing-Prepare simple financial statements-Reconcile bank accounts and trace discrepancies-Reconcile subsidiary accounts to control accounts-Perform, or assist in, inventory observations-Assist with engagement planning-Perform interim accounting services (monthly or quarterly) of small companies where the work is of a repetitive nature and prepare substantiating work papers in a format that is sufficiently detailed for a reviewer to evaluate-Excerpt leases, minutes, and other documents and prepare transmittal of journal entries to clients-Prepare work papers that are organized, neat, cross-referenced, and supported by conclusions-Search for unrecorded liabilities by examining unpaid bills, accounts payable and disbursements subsequent to balance sheet date-Take ownership of engagements, meet (or beat) established deadlines and budgets.-Update and calculate depreciation and amortization and enter asset activity into depreciation software.-Prepare payroll tax, sales and other local tax, personal property and simple to average income tax returns.-Be able to compile raw data into trial balance format, including recapping cash receipts and disbursements.-Prepare tax returns as needed using proprietary software.-Prepare tax adjusting journal entries tax reconciliation, and perform import into tax software.-Ability to work overtime as required.What You Need for this PositionAt Least 3 Years of experience and knowledge of:- Preparing Financial Statements- Reconcile bank accounts- Find Discrepancies- Account Reconciliation- Inventory Observations- Accounting Services (Monthly and Quarterly)- Prepare Tax ReturnsSo, if you are a Associate with experience, please apply today!
