HR - Analyst - Payroll (Senior Level)

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for an HR - Analyst - Payroll (Senior Level) with a multinational science and technology company in Brea, CA. This is a 3-month contract with a potential for extension.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.

Description:

The Sr Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing and executing payroll functions to ensure timely and accurate payment to associates. This role involves leading a team, managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and providing strategic insights to improve payroll operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of payroll practices, and the ability to handle complex payroll issues with efficiency and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely processing of all payroll aspects, including salary, bonuses, benefits, and deductions.
• Ensure rigorous compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices through regular audits.
• Develop, implement, and continuously enhance payroll policies, procedures, and systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve complex payroll inquiries and maintain seamless operations.
• Manage the preparation and distribution of all essential payroll reports, including year-end W-2 forms and related filings.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in payroll processing, including demonstrated leadership, with extensive proficiency in ADP, eTime, and Workday.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience; highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), with strong communication and interpersonal skills. CPP preferred.
