From coast to coast, we’re proud to serve our communities with integrity, excellence, and a commitment to developing our team\n\nTheJr. Automotive Technician is responsible for conducting basic automotive diagnostic and repair such as oil changes, tire and wheel related services and light vehicle maintenance.They are also responsible for effectively repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers, and Driver's Edge & Service standards.\n\n\nStarting at: $25.00/Hr. to $35.00/Hr.\n\n\nBenefits:\n\n Closed Sundays\n Competitive Bi-Weekly Pay\n Tuition Reimbursement\n Paid Vacation and Sick Time\n 6 Paid Holidays\n Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance\n Life Insurance (Company paid)\n 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match\n Discounted Services on Personal and Immediate Family Vehicles\n Opportunity for Advancement!!!\n \n\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\n\n Performs basic mechanical repairs based on level of experience\n Performs tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance and tire rotation.\n Performs oil changes, fluid changes and power flushes and other basic services.\n Utilizes the company’s Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order to properly document the vehicle condition\n Conducts State Safety and Emission Inspections (in applicable locations) on vehicles in an ethical manner following all company and state guidelines\n Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor\n Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed. Other duties as assigned by direct supervisor\n Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values, and all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Sun Auto Tire & Service Employee Handbook\n\nQualifications:\n\n Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience preferred\n Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics\n Valid Driver’s license\n Must be at least 18 years of age\n Ability to obtain a State Inspector License (in applicable locations) is preferred\n High School Diploma or equivalent preferred\n\nWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:\nThe Junior Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.
