The opportunity

Join Wakefield at a pivotal time of growth. As an Account Executive, you will build relationships with organizations navigating relocations, workplace changes, storage needs, and complex logistics projects and help them solve challenges that matter to their business.

This is a high-ownership sales role for someone who is self-motivated, competitive, and driven to win new business, someone who enjoys opening doors, shaping solutions, and seeing their work carried out to a successful result. You will lead new-business development across commercial moving, storage, logistics, and installation, serving higher education and commercial clients throughout New England.

What you will own

• Generate qualified new-business opportunities through disciplined prospecting, targeted outreach, networking, and referral development.
• Build trusted relationships with facilities leaders, procurement teams, property managers, real estate partners, and other project decision-makers.
• Own the full sales cycle, from initial discovery through solution development, proposals, negotiation, and close.
• Uncover customer priorities, decision criteria, budget, and risks, then position Wakefield's services around the complete customer need.
• Win profitable new accounts while expanding existing relationships through recurring storage, logistics, installation, and other services.
• Consistently communicate Wakefield's value, differentiate on execution and service, and meet revenue and margin goals.
• Partner with operations and estimating teams to develop accurate scopes, proposals, and RFP responses.
• Set clear customer expectations and ensure a thorough handoff that supports successful project delivery.
• Maintain a disciplined CRM pipeline, account plans, activity tracking, and accurate forecasts.
• Prioritize the right opportunities, advance next steps consistently, identify risks early, and remain accountable for sales results.

What you bring

• 3–5 years of demonstrated success in B2B sales, with experience selling services, solutions, or other complex offerings preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, relocation logistics, and client project lifecycles preferred, including how scope, scheduling, resources, and operational constraints shape customer solutions.
• A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and driving sustained revenue growth. You can demonstrate how your prospecting, account development, and closing efforts contributed to those results.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to earn trust, uncover customer needs, influence decision-makers, and communicate value beyond price.
• The ability to work independently and collaborate effectively. You take ownership of your pipeline while partnering with operations and other internal teams to develop accurate proposals and deliver on customer commitments.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site visits, networking events, and business development activities.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent relevant professional experience is also valued.

Experience in commercial relocation, workplace interiors, facilities services, records management, construction services, equipment rental, logistics, or warehousing is valuable. Direct moving industry experience is preferred, though not required; selling ability and the capacity to learn our services are central to this role.

Compensation for roles at Tobin varies based on factors such as office location, role responsibilities, relevant experience, education, and specific skill sets. As required by local law, Tobin provides a reasonable, good‑faith compensation range for positions hired in Massachusetts. Actual pay will reflect job‑related qualifications, geographic considerations, and other applicable factors.
