Customer Service Representative – Transportation Division

Location: Monmouth Junction (South Brunswick), NJ

About the Role

Hermann is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support our Transportation Division. In this fast-paced role, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring timely communication, accurate shipment tracking, and seamless coordination with internal teams.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, can multitask across multiple platforms, and delivers exceptional service with professionalism and urgency.

What You’ll Do

• Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams in a timely and professional manner
• Track shipments and provide real-time updates to customers
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient transportation operations
• Manage multiple tasks and communication channels simultaneously
• Resolve issues proactively and maintain strong customer relationships
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and shipment activity

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years of customer service experience (transportation/logistics preferred)
• Strong communication skills (phone and email) — required
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment (handling Teams, email, and phone simultaneously)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (must be comfortable working with data)
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems and customer portals
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset
• Commitment to timely communication with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
